Full Description
A programme of archaeological work, including an evaluation followed by an open area excavation carried out in 2012 found parts of a middle to late bronze age field system. This was represented by boundary ditches, post holes and stake holes. This field system had previously been identified ot the west of the site within the Westwood Cross plateau. Some of the features contained prehistoric pottery and worked flint assemblages. (1,2,3)
