Monument record TQ 65 NW 341 - Three late Iron Age / Roman pits and a gully, Borough Green Sand pit
Summary
In 2006 the Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit carried out a trial trenching evaluation in advance of a proposed extension to Borough Green Sand pit. The only significant archaeological features discovered were three pits and a gully in trench 6. The features were accompanied by a small assemblage of late iron age or early Roman pottery.
