Full Description
An archaeological evaluation carried out by the Canterbury Archaeological Trust in 2004 found four pits and one probable ditch terminal thought to be prehistoric in date. The four pits measured between 0.35-0.6m in length, 0.25-0.9m in width, and 0.05-0.13m in depth. The probable ditch terminal comprised an E-W aligned linear feature measuring 1.3x1.1x0.2m. Three of the pits and the ditch terminal contained burnt material, including carbon, charcoal, and burnt flint. (1)
