Monument record TR 03 NW 149 - Undated but probable late prehistoric field system, Cheeseman's Green Area 8

Summary

Archaeological work from 2004 to 2016 across the Cheeseman's Green area found in Area 8 evidence of a probable late prehistoric field system. Features consisted of a small number of ditches which possible comprised a rectilinear field system aligned north-west to south-east and north-east to south-west. Other features were sparse and there was no suggestion that the late iron age / Romano-British settlement seen in Area 1 extended into this site.
