Monument record TR 03 NW 160 - Probable later prehistoric / Romano-British features, Area 10 (south)

Summary

Trial trenching followed by strip, map and sample excavation in 2014/15 in Area 10 south, found a small number of undated features. A large ditch 1.2m wide ran north-east to south-west but was not seen in excavations at The Grove to the north. Other ditches and pits were also observed. Some pits had evidence of burning. No dating evidence was found but the features are probably late prehistoric or Romano-British like those elsewhere in the Cheeseman's Green site.
