Full Description
An undated pit and two probable field boundaries were excavated at A2 Kingston Bridle Bridge, in 2009. The probable field boundaries comprised two linear ditches measuring 1.4-1.52m in width and 0.43-0.5m in depth. One of the ditches had a recorded length of 4.5m. The pit measured 1.12m in diameter and 0.56m in depth. No archaeological finds were associated with the features.
The ditches were thought to date from before the 19th century. (1)
