A small double ditched, cropmark feature has been identified on aerial photographs of fields to the south of Acol. The photographs for the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England appear to show the feature contains a number of pits. The date of the feature is uncertain but several further ring ditch and macula cropmarks have been identified in this area (see TR 36 NW 167 and TR 36 NW 376).

Site identified during transcription of features recorded on air photographs. The cropmarks of two ring ditches have been identified in aerial photographs of Kent taken in 1979. Also faintly visible on the 2007 Google Earth image. (1)

A ring ditch forming part of a round barrow of Bronze Age date was visible as a cropmark in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 21-APR-2007. This is the north-western of two closely positioned ring ditches mapped by RCHME (see authority [1] and record MKE7946/TR 36 NW 168). A large pit was visible inside the ring ditch. These features were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (3)
