Full Description
Five pits of uncertain date were visible as cropmarks in a Kent County Council Isle of Thanet SMR aerial photograph. The aerial photograph is attached to the Isle of Thanet Archaeology Unit record 100 file. The small pits are located amongst larger Medieval/post-Medieval extractive pits and a concentration of later prehistoric features, all visible as cropmarks.
These features are part of the cropmark complex recorded in MKE7661. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1)
