Full Description
An enclosure of possible Iron Age/Roman date was visible as a cropmark in NMR 15472/23 04-JUL-1996. The sub-square enclosure measures about 38.3m by 38.4m on plan. It is unclear whether or not breaks in its ditch represent original entrances. Two large pits were visible as cropmarks in its interior.
These features are probably associated with the cropmark complex to the south-west side of St Peter's Footpath recorded in MKE7661. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1)
