Full Description

Evidence for Late Iron Age/Early Roma settlements based on the presence of Ditches, postholes and pits inlcuding a potential enclosure. Finds includes pottery dating to the mid-1st Century A.D. through to around 70 A.D. Not much evidence post 70 A.D., only residual medieval pottery which seems to have been disturbed by modern agriculture.
Ditches seem to be orientated to NE-SW and have measured up to 2.4m and 0.60m in depth.
Postholes along with the possible enclosure indicates that there were likely structures located within the vicinity of the site along with evidence of animal bone suggests this may have been a settled area for a period between 1st AD and 70AD.
