Full Description
Iron Age and Roman pits, ditches, and an enclosure were identified at Bodkin Farm, Whitstable during an evaluation in 2023. Five ditches were dated to the Late Iron Age/Roman period, four of which formed three sides of a large rectangular enclosure which contained artefacts dating to the Late Iron Age and Romano-British period.
At least four Late Iron Age or Roman pits were excavated including a group of three sub-oval pits which may have been associated with the enclosure. (1)
