Monument record TR 26 NE 166 - Iron Age features at Sarre
Summary
During work to improve the drainage of Sarre eight pits were discovered. The features contained pottery dating from the early Iron Age to medieval periods. An iron pin and a carved chalk spindle whorl were also found in the fill. A ditch was also discovered during the work but no finds were contained within this. A second ditch revealed a bronze pin and 7 post holes were also found although these contained no datable materials.
