Archaeological features, comprising ditches, gullies, pits and postholes were located towards the middle of the site. Several of these features contained pottery, animal bone and burnt stone. Some features can be dated to Late Iron Age/early Romano-British period but due to scarcity of finds it is uncertain whether all of the features are contemporaneous. The character of the features, and the finds recovered from them, suggest that they were associated with occupation in the near vicinity.

Some residual material, of possibly early Iron Age/late Bronze Age date, was also recovered from the later features. (1)
