Full Description
A scorched and heat cracked flat stone and associated burnt clay area almost certainly formed a purposely made hearth. Nearby a possible pit was also recorded. The features are of unknown date, although the report suggests they are medieval or post medieval. They were found during test pitting for the Boley Hill repaving project (1,2).
