Full Description
During an evaluation in September 2000 a series of features of prehistoric date were observed. They consisted of pits, ditches and a presumed circular (only half was exposed in a trench) post-hole structure with two arcs of post-holes.
(See TQ 57 SE 159 for Romano-British activity). The lithic assemblage consisted of forty-one struck flints and burnt flint. No truly diagnostic items were present although one knife was typical of the late neolithic/early bronze age industry and another small blade of the mesolithic or early neolithic industries. (1-2)
