Full Description

The Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out an evaluation at the former Bon Secours Nursing Home in Jan-Feb 2002. Features of Late Iron Age and Roman date were found. A subsequent excavation in 2002 found Roman ditches crossing the site. One ditch was dug in the Late Bronze Age but only completely silted in the Roman period. A pit was also found. (1-2)
