Full Description
A section of east-west ditch, which had been deliberately infilled, and a compact stony deposit, perhaps a pebble metalling extending over the ditch. Several horn cores attached to cranial fragments had been dumped at some stage in the ditch. Evidence of agricultural activity in the area dated to the late iron age - roman period. Actual length of use is unclear. Fragments of Roman pottery were found across the excavtion site.(1)

Further archaeological work on the site in 1999 recorded an undated pit, sealed by a probable post medieval buried ploughsoil, a small post medieval pit and a large twentieth century feature [3].
