Full Description

Later Roman features were identified during the archaeological assessment of excavation work carried out by Hertfordshire Archaeological Trust, at Herne Bay High School in september 2001. Two ditches, a possible tree hollow and a pit/ditch terminal, contained pottery sherds of mid to late Roman date, burnt flint and tiny quantities of burnt clay and tile [1].
