Monument record TR 36 SW 123 - Romano-British ditches, sunken featured building, two cemetries and pit containing prehistoric pottery
Summary
Twenty eight ditches were recorded in this area although the majority did not appear to form any coherent pattern; two ditches formed boundaries of the cremation and inhuman cemetries. Twenty three pits and two postholes were recorded in the area and two contained rare prehistoric pottery. A sunken featured building was found aligned east-west and was believed to be Romano-British in date. Two Romano-British cemetries were recorded within the area.
