Building record TR 06 SW 1079 - The Cooperage, Oare Gunpowder Works, Faversham

Summary

The surviving remains of a structure built between 1846 and 1863, used as a cooperage. In the centre of this building was a clock-tower. Later alterations included the insertion of additional openings; the demolition of the north end of the building, retaining the base of the clock-tower; and the blocking of the openings in several stages.
