Full Description
A number of features were recorded during a watching brief along the route of the Grain-Shorne pipeline in 2009. All the features within plots 0 - 13 were found close to 'Emmadale' north of Lower Stoke.
A series of ditches possibly formed part of an enclosure. They were tentatively dated to the Late Iron Age/early Roman period. Two pits may also be of similar date. A later palaeochannel or ditch cut across the earlier ditches. Two gullies may have drained into this. (1-2)
