Full Description
The Rother Light Railway was opened in 1896, but the route to Tenterden was not completed until 1903. In that year, when the Tenterden - Headcorn extension was granted, its name changed to the Kent and East Sussex Light Railway. After the Tenterden - Headcorn section closed in 1954, the original Rother Light Railway section continued until 1961, when all traffic ceased.
