During an evaluation in 2010 at Kingsnorth, two pits, two ditches and two post holes were found in this area. One pit contained Bronze Age pottery and a fragment of a mould, suggesting metal working in the area. The ditches and one of the post holes were Later Bronze Age in date, one ditch containing a quantity of pottery and a fragment of fired clay. The second pit was Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age in date and the other post hole was undated. (1) Subsequent excavation revealed a number of other features including a well containing mid-late bronze age pottery.(2)
