Full Description
Two pits were found during an excavation that took place over a wide area ahead of road works at junction 2 of the A2/A282. A number of archaeological features were uncovered dating from the neolithic to modern (world war two) eras. Both pits measured 1.3m in diameter and 0.95m in depth but only one contained pottery. The pottery in question has been interpreted as being a deliberate structured deposit containging three near complete vessels and fragmentery remains of others. (1)
