Full Description
Several features were discovered when an excavation that took place ahead of the development of a treatment pond. A number of archaeological features were uncovered dating from the early-middle Iron Age and Roman period. The features in question, a pit and 3 three tree throws, have been dated by the pottery recoved from said features. The pit measured 3m in diameter and was irregular in shape and produced a single shard of Early/Middle Iron Age pottery. The tree throws were irregular in shape and atmost 0.30m deep and they each contained small quantities of pottery. (1)
