Full Description
Several features, Roman in date, were discovered when an excavation took place ahead of the development of a treatment pond on the M25, south of Dartford. A number of archaeological features were uncovered dating from the Early-Middle Iron Age and Roman period. The features in question, boundary ditches, cremation burials, pits, quarry pits and postholes, have been dated by the pottery recoved from said features. The boundary ditches measures just under 90m as it reaches the end of the trench and is interupted at several points by quarry pits. (1)
