2 staple, or goalpost, enclosures were identified during the analysis of features recorded on aerial photographs of an area just to the south of Acol. The features appear to be conjoined. Site identified during transcription of features recorded on air photographs. (1) RCHME AP shows 2 conjoined staple enclosures. Located at TR 3041 6678. (2)

Enclosures and a pit forming part of a settlement of Medieval date were visible as cropmarks in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015 and NMR 1660/466 16-JUL-1979. The enclosures were situated either side of Plumstone Road. These features were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (3-4)
