In 2007 Oxford Archaeology carried out an evaluation. A Roman midden deposit was located on the marsh edge. (1)

In 2008 Swale and Thames Archaeological Survey Company carried out a programme of works at Neats Court, Queenborough. Roman pits and ditches, possibly relating to drainage for settlement to the south. (2)
