Full Description

In 2007 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out an evaluation on the route for a pipeline. Undated archaeological features were located. A large ditch, 2.7m across and 1.1m deep, contained a sherd of Early Iron Age pottery but it was unclear if this was simply residual within the feature. A number of pits, ditches and gullies were also found, also undated or containing potentially residual material. (1)
