Summary

During a programme of archaeological investigation carried out ahead of the construction of a block of flats at Seapoint, Marine Parade, in Birchington a group of features including, pits, gullies and ditches were disocvered, these were of a Late Iron Age/early Roman date. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)

Full Description

In 2004 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out a programme of works at Sea Point. Late Iron Age/early Roman features were identified. These included gullies, pits and ditches. Pottery and part of a rotary quern were found. (1)
