Full Description
In 2008 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out a watching brief on geotechnical test pits. A linear feature may have been part of a ditch. It contained animal bones, oyster shells, worked flint and partially fired clay. The worked flint included four platform cores and two retouched flakes, probably of Bronze Age date. Two pits or post holes were found to the west of the ditch. A sherd of flint tempered pottery and two worked flints were found. An undated feature was also found in an adjacent test pit. (1)
