Full Description

In 2010 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out an evaluation. Two Roman cremation burials, a ditch, two pits and post holes possibly relating to a post-built structure were all found. Significant quantities of pottery were found in the pits and ditch. Other finds included a slickstone, used to smooth out linen as part of laundering. This material suggests domestic activity in the area. (1-2)
