Full Description
In 2011 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out a watching brief. A small concentration of features was located. These may relate to later prehistoric settlement in the area, to the south. Two pits and two ditches were found, containing worked flints of Late Neolithic to Bronze Age date but also pottery of Late Iron Age date, along with hammerscale suggesting the features are of Iron Age date.
