A scatter of small pits of Middle Iron Age/Late Iron Age date, plus a ditch of similar date. A small shallow ditch dated to the Late Iron Age/early Roman period.

Full Description

Area E was a portion of the Grain-Shorne pipeline excavated in 2009.

In the Middle Iron Age/Late Iron Age a number of pits was dug. One was 0.6m in diameter and 0.08m deep and cut the Early Bronze Age ring ditch. It contained residual Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pottery as well as a vessel base dated to between 50 BC and AD 40.

There was a field boundary dug in the area in the Roman period. (1-2)
