Full Description
In 2012 an archaeological evaluation was carried out at 67 London Road, Teynham. Three trenches were excavated and then a watching brief carried out on the construction works. A number of medieval ditches were discovered that have been interpreted as being part of a field system and a pit that may suggest nearby medieval occupation. Three middle neolithic to early bronze age flints were also found together with 16 sherds of pottery dating from the late 12th to early 13th century as well as one piece of tile that probably come from the same period.(1, 2)
