Rectilinear enclosures visible as cropmarks in aerial photos of 2016 and 2012 and Google Earth image of 2007, to the northeast of Down Barton, St Nicholas at Wade. It covers and area of 94m by 94m and consists of a number of possible enclosures of various shapes and sizes. There looks to be a recangular set of post holes within the lrgest enclosure, suggesting a timber building. (1)

Enclosures, trackways and pits forming part of a settlement of Iron Age/Roman date were visible as cropmarks in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 21-APR-2007, Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 25-MAY-2012 and Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015. These features were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (2-4)
