Monument record TR 04 SW 451 - Late Prehistoric pit, Sevington West

Summary

In 2012 archaeological evaluation trenching took place on the site. The excavation of 101 trenches was recorded, 10 of which contained archaeological remains. A possible late prehistoric pit containing a single fill. The fill contained four sherds of late prehistoric pottery (27g). Of the four sherds, three are of a similar material. They are dated broadly as later prehistoric; these are completely undiagnostic, and the fabric types are not particularly chronologically distinctive in this region.
