Summary
During an archaeological evaluation in August (2014) 12 evaluation trenches were excavated. Four trenches uncovered undated ditches identified as post-medieval or modern upon initial assessment. They are assumed to be related to agricultural field boundaries and drainage.

Full Description
During an archaeological evaluation in August (2014) 12 evaluation trenches were excavated. Four trenches uncovered undated ditches identified as post-medieval or modern upon initial assessment. They are assumed to be related to agricultural field boundaries and drainage. (1)
The undated ditches fall mostly in the three trenches within 90m of the monument location.
