Author/Originator
Date/Year 2014

Abstract/Summary

This report is believed to be a summary of a full report produced by Cotswold Archaeology (Heritage 2014/734). From the report: "In August 2014 Cotswold Archaeology (CA) carried out an archaeological evaluation … on Land at Oakland’s Farm, Hothfield, Ashford, Kent…The evaluation comprised the excavation of twelve trenches, each measuring between 46.2m and 49.6m long x 2m wide. Three further potential contingency trenches in areas of proposed tree planting were not required since the archaeological potential of any significance that was identified was not focussed anywhere near the proposed tree planting." The report briefly summarises the findings of the archaeological evaluation.
