Monument record TQ 66 NW 137 - Prehistoric features, Meopham School

Summary

In 2016 an archaeological evaluation was carried out at Meopham School. Archaeological features were identified in seven trenches. These comprised boundary ditches, pits and a potential northeast to southwest aligned flint track-way. Artefactual material recovered from these features included up to 253 sherds of late Bronze Age to Iron Age pottery, common burnt flint and occasional worked flint that included an exceptional side retouched scraper.
