Monument record TR 02 SW 193 - Second World War emplacement, ditch and pits, Lydd Quarry 18A North
Summary
Discovered during a watching brief from 2008-2010, a ditch and three small pits in the north-west of the area produced a range of mid-20th-century material, including .303 cartridge cases and spent bullets.These may have been associated with a feature that may be a World War II searchlight or gun battery.
