Summary

During an archaeological evaluation undertaken at the former site of the Post Office on Biggin Street, Dover, a Roman ditch and two possible pits were uncovered. An alluvial layer containing pottery dating to the Roman period was also located an may represent the former location of part of the Roman Harbour basin. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
