Full Description
A circular pit in Brewers Wood c. 1.40m in depth and c. 10m in diameter with a slight bank around its top. The pit has a long drainage ditch running in from the SW (at least 30m in length). It is unclear if this trench is a later addition to make use of the pit as a drainage feature. The pit itself may have been a saw pit or a charcoal burners it. [1] 50m polygon assigned in the absence of detailed information, centred on NGR reference. Possibly contemporary with TQ 67 SE 273. Contemporary complex relationship created in SMR
