A saltmound of medieval or post-medieval date is visible as a soilmark on 1940s RAF vertical aerial photography [1]. It is elongated and irregularly-shaped in plan, measuring 100m (NW-SE) x 30m (NE-SW). The precise date of the features is unclear but they are likely to be medieval in date. This site was visible on the Ordnance Survey 1877 edition [2] and the Ordnance Survey 1939 edition [3].

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photography exists within a GIS layer held by this HER [4].

This is likely to be one of the 16 saltmounds referred to in TR 26 SW 5.
