Full Description

WWII military structure on the cliff edge and situated within a larger military complex at Kingsgate. The feature has been mapped from military aerial photographs taken in January 1941 [1], when it was first visible. The feature remains visible on photographs taken throughout the war but is eventually gone by August 1947 [2].

The feature is an L-shaped structure measuring 13.6m long with 1m thick walls, and the entrance is at the SW extent. A bank encircles the structure on the eastern and southern edges. It is situated overlooking a beach and may have been an observation post or gun emplacement.
