WWII earthwork and structural defences associated with an industrial installation at Great Stonar that is already present on the OS historic mapping [1] but has had military defence features constructed, which were mapped from military aerial photographs. The features include slit trenching to the north and west of the structures, measuring over 250m in total. One of the trenches has a bank associated with it. A possible gun emplacement is also visible to the west of the structures, and has a diamond shaped interior that measures around 11m by 6.5m. The other gun pit has a square interior measuring 4m by 3.2m, with an entrance to the SW. A series of short lengths of bank and ditch are also visible running N-S to the west of the industrial buildings, measuring between 9m and 14m.

Most of the features were first visible in January 1942 [2], whereas the row of banks and ditches, and the two possible gun emplacements were first visible in January 1945 [3]. This area was developed over some time after 1986.
