Full Description

WWII gun emplacement visible on aerial photography taken in 1946 [1, 2], located in Kingsdown. The circular banked emplacement was 7m in diameter with walls 1.8m thick. The site was located directly at the coast 2m from the cliff edge. The feature was still visible on aerial photography taken in 1980 [3], but was not visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [4].

A collection of five gun emplacements (MWX43503) and a group of three emplacements (MWX43504) lie to the north of this site.
