Full Description
The ditch is centred at TR 0860 2803, and measures approximately 204m long SSE to NNW. The ditch appears to be in three segments, and is flanked on either side by a line of mounds which are presumably the spoil from the ditch. This anti-aircraft landing obstruction ditch crosses through an earlier landing circle cut into the turf of what was the pre-war Littlestone Airfield (Monument Number 1535604). By the time of the vertical aerial photograph of 1946; the ditch appears to have been backfilled and the mounds levelled. They can be seen on the aerial photograph as light soilmarks (1-2).
