Full Description

The pillbox is centred at TR 0851 2798, and measures approximately six metres across. It appears to be six-sided, with an unroofed section in the centre where an anti-aircraft gun could be mounted. As such, it may be a Type 27 pillbox. The pillbox is in close proximity to other Second World War defensive features, such as a grid of anti-aircraft poles to the north (Monument Number 1535077), and an anti-aircraft ditch (Monument Number 1535108). On vertical aerial photographs of 2007, the pillbox is no longer visible (1-2).
