Monument record TR 01 NE 263 - Second World War anti-invasion beach scaffolding
Summary
A stretch of Second World War anti-invasion beach scaffolding is visible on vertical aerial photographs of 1946 as a linear structure along the seafront to the west of Dengemarsh Gut Shafts. The scaffolding appears to have been removed by the time of the next available vertical aerial photograph of 1958. This feature has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East RCZAS NMP project.
